Jonathan Icely, DMD
Johnny Icely was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He was initially drawn to dentistry because a mentor showed him how he could really help people be both more comfortable and more confident.
Dr. Icely graduated from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. While there he received a Masters level certificate in Public Health. He also participated in two research projects, in conjunction with the world famous Barrow Cleft and Craniofacial Center, to explore the efficacy of treatment in children with craniofacial abnormalities. Due to his passion in helping those with special needs he received an Award of Recognition from the Special Care Dentistry Association. He is currently continuing his education through University of Arizona college of Pediatric Medicine LEND program to broaden his approach to dentistry.
Dr. Icely has four wonderful ladies in his life: his wife and three girls ages 5, 2, and 1. There is never a dull moment at home. As a daddy he enjoys giving piggy back rides, taking them for bike rides or randomly spoiling them with ice cream. He enjoys woodworking, spending time outside, rock climbing, mountain biking, long-range precision rifleman ship, or to relax and watch a movie with his wife when the kids are in bed. He enjoys staying involved with church and the community.
Dr. Eric Purdy, DMD
Dr. Eric Purdy was born in Orlando, Florida, but raised in Tucson, Arizona, where he proudly considers himself a true Arizonan. He began his dental journey as a dental assistant, which sparked his passion for the field and ultimately led him to become a practising general dentist. Dr. Purdy was drawn to dentistry because it beautifully combines both art and science, and he is especially passionate about the personal connections and lifelong relationships he builds with his patients.
Dr. Purdy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) before pursuing his dental education at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Throughout dental school, Dr. Purdy focused on dental implants and occlusion, and was recognized at graduation for his dedication to studying the complex dynamics of how our teeth fit together.
After graduation, Dr. Purdy proudly served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, stationed in San Diego and later at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona. He completed ten years of military service before returning to his hometown of Tucson, where he now practices dentistry and is excited to build lasting relationships with his community.
Outside of the office, Dr. Purdy enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah. He’s an avid guitarist, has a passion for hiking, and enjoys the occasional video game.
Mark A. Larsen, D.M.D.
Dr Larsen established himself in the Southern Arizona dental community for his devotion to the highest quality dental care.
Known for his gentle hand and comprehensive care, he actively seeks to improve patient understanding of oral health and provide a comfortable treatment environment.
Born in Salt Lake City, UT and a graduate of the University of Utah, he went on to earn his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. While there he was a recipient of the Joseph R. Evans award for excellence in clinical operative dentistry and participated in the Honors Teaching Assistant program in pre-clinical and clinical disciplines.
He moved to Tucson, AZ to take opportunities to advance his dental career and expand his professional relationships. He strives to create an innovative and leading edge dental practice. In addition to continuing his dental education and maintaining his professional memberships, he actively participates in community health. Each year he volunteers for Hope Fest, an annual dental health event to provide much needed services to the underserved population. He also donates dental services for Hope Inc., an organization for those on the road to recovery from previous abusive habits.
Dr. Larsen most enjoys spending time with his wife Hillary and four children. He loves the outdoors, sports, travel, is very involved in his church, and is fluent in Spanish.
