Ridge Augmentation
There is bone all around our teeth to provide the necessary support for chewing function. When a tooth is lost, this bone begins to deteriorate and the bone gets thinner and shorter. Over time the bone may be insufficient to place a dental implant and restore the missing tooth. Loss of bone may also make it very difficult to use dentures.
A procedure called ridge augmentation can be performed to rebuild the bone structure needed for future implants. This greatly improves the chances of success for implant procedures.
