Extractions
Tooth extractions can range from a single tooth to multiple teeth. The need to extract a tooth may vary based upon the disease state of the tooth and the surrounding tissues.
When the dentist feels it is appropriate to extract a tooth they will discuss the potential outcomes from the procedure and how the area may be replaced in the future. Often times it is best to place a bone graft in the site where the tooth was removed so that it will heal with bone so the future replacement will be more manageable.
